After a misdiagnosis, she was left without her uterus, the hospital admitted responsibility

Approximately one year ago, the individual was initially admitted to the University Hospital Kepler in Linz following a spontaneous miscarriage. This initial event was followed by a more serious medical diagnosis. According to reports from the Kronen Zeitung, subsequent examination of the tissue sample in the pathological department revealed a diagnosis of a highly aggressive tumor.

Following these findings, an interdisciplinary council convened and determined that immediate surgical intervention was necessary, bypassing the need for further consultative opinions. The tissue sample was subsequently forwarded to the Medical University in Graz, which confirmed the presence of the tumor. In early August 2023, the patient underwent a major procedure at the hospital.

During this operation, she had her uterus, both fallopian tubes, and one ovary removed.
