At midnight, more expensive gasoline and cheaper diesel

New fuel prices are set to take effect from Tuesday, June 30, through Monday, July 6. Under the new structure, the cost for a liter of petrol will be 1.537 euros. The ministry estimates that without regulation, petrol could cost 1.641 euros per liter.

For diesel, the established price will be 1.605 euros. Heating oil is expected to cost approximately 1.708 euros if pricing were unregulated. Merchant margins are restricted by the government’s Regulation on the Formulation of Prices for Certain Petroleum Derivatives (PISRS).

These margins are capped at 0.1150 euros per liter for diesel fuel, 0.1150 euros per liter for NMB-95, and 0.1150 euros per liter for heating oil. Furthermore, the pricing of these petroleum derivatives will continue to be calculated using a methodology that reflects the fluctuations of oil derivatives in the global market. These regulated prices for essential fuels are subject to ongoing monitoring based on international market movements.

The revised prices for petrol, diesel, and heating oil represent the current framework for consumers during the specified period. The government’s regulations aim to stabilize the cost structure for these key energy sources, ensuring transparency in the pricing mechanism for consumers across the specified timeframe.
