Automobile police officers in Osenice investigated an incident that occurred early Saturday morning in the Žirovnica municipality. Authorities reported that a 21-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and crash into a grassy embankment. The vehicle subsequently struck a residential structure’s support wall before overturning.
Following the crash, police personnel attended the scene. Emergency medical teams transported the injured driver to Jesenice hospital after initial treatment at the emergency room. Investigations revealed that the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, with blood alcohol content measured at 0.58 mg/l.
The police confirmed that the incident resulted in physical injuries to the driver. In response to the collision, the police are proceeding with a traffic violation procedure against the driver. Furthermore, the police have recommended that the case for driving under the influence be presented to the competent district court.
Firefighters also provided assistance at the scene of the accident. The investigation remains active concerning the circumstances leading to the vehicular accident.
