One former employee speaking to Vanity Fair stated that Kaplan “creates the most toxic work environment I have ever experienced.” Furthermore, another former colleague alleged that Kaplan frequently yells and makes insulting remarks, adding that Cooper often remains silent and does not intervene to protect staff. In a subsequent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Alex Cooper refuted the accusations concerning herself, her husband, and the overall work culture at Unwell. Cooper addressed the claims made regarding the internal atmosphere of the company.
