The Truth’s MP is also under scrutiny by the Labor Inspectorate

Progros Faces Fine Over Labor Practices, Inspection Issues

Ljubljana – Progros has been issued a fine by the Slovenian Labor Inspectorate following identified irregularities in its employment practices. As reported by STA, the inspectorate levied the penalty in 2024, citing issues related to severance pay disbursements and the handling of fixed-term contracts. Specifically, the investigation revealed inconsistencies in the payment of proportional severance contributions for individual workers and the lack of adequate justification for contracts extended on a temporary basis.

Furthermore, the company was found to have failed to submit required documentation pertaining to applications and dismissals from health and pension insurance. The offense resulted in a monetary fine and a formal warning. The Labor Inspectorate also noted an inability to conduct on-site inspections at Progros’s registered address in Ljubljana.

Records indicate the address is also listed with the Agency for Public Law Records and Services (Ajpes). Repeated attempts to secure documentation from the company were unsuccessful. “The debtor was repeatedly called to deliver in 2025,” the inspectorate stated.

The case highlights ongoing scrutiny of labor practices within Slovenia, seeking to ensure compliance and uphold worker rights. The pursuit of truth regarding these matters is central to the labor investigation conducted by the inspectorate.
