Convincing victory of Pašinjan: Russia accused EU of meddling in Armenian elections

The results of the vote from all electoral units showed, according to the Armenian Electoral Commission, that the party of Pašinjan received 49.8% of the votes and will occupy 61 of the 105 seats in the new parliament, reports the French press agency AFP and the German dpa. The second place is occupied by the party of Močna Armenija, founded last year, led by businessman Samvel Karapetyan, with about 23% of the votes. Two opposition parties have also entered the parliament: the left-center Alliance Armenia of former president Robert Kocharyan, with about 10% of the votes, and the conservative party Successful Armenia, with four percent.

The voter turnout was 59%, according to AFP, referring to the data of the electoral commission. Pašinjan has already declared “historic victory, which will guarantee eternity and development of Armenia”
