In the 35 years of Slovenian (football) independence, there were many excellent football players who left their mark in one way or another. Among them, there are some who are known for having the so-called move more. That is, they see things that others do not and thus contribute to the well-known final touch to our national football team’s greatest successes.
There were not a few of these (successes). In terms of demographics and other abilities, we can boast of two appearances at the European Championships in the years 2000 (Belgium, Netherlands) and 2024 (Germany) and the World Championships in the years 2002 (South Korea, Japan) and 2010 (South Africa). And it was on the latter that one of the main roles in the then Slovenian national team under the guidance of selector Matjaž Kek was played.
