According to reports from the French press agency AFP, Russian air defenses successfully intercepted a total of 376 Ukrainian drones. The drones were reportedly shot down over a wide area, encompassing the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Orel, Pskov, Rostov, Rjazan, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions, as well as the Moscow region, Crimea, Abkhazia, and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas. Petersburg and key Baltic Sea ports, experienced the highest concentration of drone interceptions, with 86 drones neutralized, according to Governor Alexander Drozdenko. The events coincide with the conclusion of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, a city significant as the birthplace of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Ukrainian attacks targeting Russian infrastructure occurred on Wednesday, the forum’s opening day. These attacks, which targeted energy and military facilities, took place as the forum commenced. Putin acknowledged the attacks.
