European Commission Recalls Three Bathtub Toys

The European Commission’s Safety Gate website has announced the recall of two distinct bathtub toys due to potential safety concerns. The recalls affect products sold primarily through online retailer Shein. One toy, a set of fish-shaped bath toys featuring a twist-on system to activate fins, has been recalled.

The product, available in blue, pink, and yellow, bears serial number SR/01486/26. The recall covers all units of this design. Additionally, a red and yellow lobster-shaped toy with a bubble-blowing hole has been identified for recall.

This toy, identified by serial number SR/01530/26, was also sold through online channels, particularly via Shein. The European Commission’s Safety Gate system monitors products circulating in the EU market to ensure they meet safety standards. These recalls demonstrate the ongoing vigilance of the European Commission in protecting consumers.

Consumers who have purchased these recalled items are urged to cease use and contact Shein for instructions on returning the product.
