Busy start of summer: three fronts will pass us

A weather front originating from the northwest has impacted the Alps, currently passing over Slovenia today. The front reached the region on Sunday and is bringing increased humidity and warm air to the higher elevations. Current conditions see widespread cloud cover and the formation of thunderstorms, particularly in the southern areas of Slovenia.

Morning forecasts predict predominantly cloudy and rainy conditions, with localized thunderstorms expected throughout the morning. As today progresses, skies will become partly clear, however, the potential for further thunderstorms remains significant, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to peak between 19 and 24 degrees Celsius across the region.

Gorizia and the Slovenian Istria will experience highs of up to 26 degrees Celsius. Meteorological forecasts indicate a dynamic week with multiple weather systems. Forecasters predict the arrival of three distinct fronts – on Monday, Wednesday, and potentially Friday.

Between these fronts, there will be periods of sunshine, though morning temperatures will remain around 20 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and be aware of the potential for localized thunderstorms.
