Constitutional Court Receives Multiple Petitions Regarding Parliamentary Elections

The Constitutional Court has confirmed it received numerous petitions concerning the recently concluded parliamentary elections. Details regarding the specific petitioners and their requests remain largely undisclosed by the court. However, sources indicate dozens of complaints were submitted on the subject.

Over the past week, several individuals have publicly identified themselves as petitioners. Thirty citizens, spearheaded by Dušan Kebr, have lodged complaints alleging violations of the right to free and democratic elections. Separately, rapper Darko Nikolovski, with the support of Freedom MPs, has submitted a petition alleging undue influence of foreign intelligence services during the election process.

According to information obtained, the constitutional court’s initial step will be to assess the procedural validity of the complaints. Following this determination, the court will then evaluate the strength of the evidence presented by the petitioners. Currently, it remains unclear whether any of the petitioners have proposed a temporary suspension of the election results.

The court’s investigation will focus on examining the substance of the claims and determining whether sufficient grounds exist for further action. The court has received a significant number of petitions related to the elections.
