Danijel Šturm Set to Join Czech Champions Following Strong Run with NK Maribor

Danijel Šturm, a free-transfer signing for NK Maribor from Slovenian club Domžale in June of last year, played a pivotal role in the team’s autumn performances under coach Albert Riera. Over the course of 34 appearances across all competitions, the 26-year-old wing-back recorded six goals and seven assists. Šturm’s contributions solidified his position as a key member of the starting eleven, and he subsequently became a regular fixture for the national team in recent years.

Prior to his move to Maribor, Šturm enjoyed a successful spring with Sigma, where he scored five goals and provided three assists in 13 games. Following this impressive form, Šturm is anticipated to finalize a contract with the Czech champions in the upcoming spring season. Details surrounding the transfer are currently under discussion.

Photographs of Šturm in action against Switzerland are available. The year of his arrival in Maribor was 2023. There is considerable interest in his continued development.
