Children are allegedly abused by school supervisors, and investigations are currently being conducted in 84 kindergartens, around 20 primary schools, and around ten day care centers, according to the main Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau, who confirmed to the Guardian. Parents of the abused children are convinced that the shortcomings in the recruitment and verification of school supervisors have enabled abuses. “This is a huge scandal,” said Florian Lastelle, the lawyer for three Parisian families who have filed criminal complaints due to alleged abuses of their children.
