The Career Congress organized by the Student Council of the Medical Faculty in Ljubljana is an important opportunity for students and young doctors to better shape their professional path through direct contact with specialists, mentors and healthcare institutions, the organizers of the two-day event summarized in a press release. The congress was also welcomed by the President of the Slovenian Medical Chamber, Bojana Beović, who agrees that students should get to know the medical profession and individual specializations as early as possible. “Some people feel their choice of specialization very early, others decide on it only after completing their studies.
However, individual specializations often become really interesting only when they are actually taken up,” she said.
