Slovenian text: The National Assembly has submitted the draft amendment to the parliamentary inquiry law to the deputies of SDS and the three-member group NSi, SLS and Fokus with the first-time signatory Jelko Godec. They proposed that the DZ should consider the draft in a shortened procedure, which was also agreed by the collegium of the President of the National Assembly Zorana Stevanović. However, a group of deputies from the Freedom, SD and Levica and Vesna parties have today addressed the President of the DZ with a request for a re-decision of the collegium’s decision, which has therefore interrupted today’s first urgent session of the committee.
In this context, Anja Bah Žibert (SDS) the chairwoman of the committee has been critical of the group of deputies from the new opposition, claiming that they are trying to block the adoption of the amendment proposal procedurally, while 98 shortened procedures for the adoption of legislation have been in the convocation of the mandate that is ending. “If I were to do this, after all, I would be blocking the adoption of the amendment proposal,” she said.
